I've ripped a couple of DVDs to 1GB avi files to play back on a core duo
Mac Mini, 1GB RAM, 80GB free hard disk space. However, the files don't
play back smoothly, 'glitching' every couple of minutes.
This happens with Quicktime and VLC, although I prefer VLC's settings

My neighbour's lad has a G4 iBook running the latest version of Leopard.
 Whenever he drops a file into the wastebasket it asks whether he wants
to "delete now" or "cancel".  If he cancels it doesn't go to the trash
and wait for a subsequent empty command.

I've just found this. Could be ideal to fill the Access sized hole I
have since ditching Windows. Has anyone used it?  I'm about to have a
look at a demo, but was wondering if anyone had paid for it and what
they think of it.
