how to test a SD or USB flash card?07 May 2008 14:02 GMT-
I've just bought some (Sandisk UltraII+) SD cards for use with my SLR.
In the past I lost photos due to a faulty card so I'd like to test them.
Is there a better method than simply filling them up with a CRC'd file,
such as a .zip, and then verifying that the .zip will extract ok?

How to 'force-format' an SD card?07 May 2008 11:32 GMT17
I have an SD card that I use to transfer files between my EeePC and my iMac
(via a USB SD card reader). I have also used it recently in my Nikon digital
camera (after formating it in said camera first with whatever it formats it
as).

OT'ish: Anyone managed to get XP SP3 to install?06 May 2008 20:40 GMT1
Am trying to run this in Fusion beta 2 - wondering if the problem is
VMware or just Windows. Can I hell get XP SP3 to download and install
via Windows Update. There's a long pause, followed by a "Failed to
install" message. No further details.
USB / system crashes06 May 2008 20:19 GMT1
Just posting this for reference,
