I'm curious. Why is this application hidden away in
/System/Library/CoreServices? I don't mean why is the app itself there
(I can see it belongs with other such programs), but why is there no
easily accessible icon for it? You have to take such an indirect route

I'm using VLC 0.8.6c on a 1.8GHz iG5. It runs very nicely and I'm
exremely pleased with it except that the menus all come up in French.
This isn't a disaster, as I speak the language so it doesn't stop me
using the appication. However, it'd be nice to get it back to English.
