Application to get a manifest of files used on a website31 May 2008 22:43 GMT3
I'm looking for a utility program to help me sort out a website that
has become a bit of a mess (customers, eh). The site has a range of
html files and images and a formmail cgi script that constitute the
current live site. However there are literally hundreds of other files
Recommendations for USB wifi dongle please.31 May 2008 20:11 GMT1
My neighbour's lad's G4 iBook (10.4) can't connect to his wifi system -
I think they have a Belkin or Netgear wireless router.  They too it to
the "genius' who put a new Airport card in but it wouldn't connect to
the in-store network.  He thinks it is the logic board not seeing ...

Western Digital MyBook versus Airport Extreme31 May 2008 18:12 GMT12
Anyone using a Western Digital MyBook [1] hooked up to the USB port on
an Airport Extreme? I am having problems and it seems possible that the
MyBook is falling over under heavy load, and dragging the Airport with
it. Unlikely, but I'm just troubleshooting...
That problem I had with broken links in the iTunes store.31 May 2008 16:58 GMT9
About 3 months ago I made a post here about a problem with the iTunes
store showing broken links when first accessed. To get around the
problem I had to refresh the page 3 or 4 times. That was with then
then current version of iTunes and Mac OS X 10.5.3.
Time Machine question...31 May 2008 14:08 GMT6
I have just been advised by my computer that the external disc which I
used for my Time machine back-ups is nearly full - I've been using
200Gb external disc since last November with the default settings, so
it's done quite well.

I'm after an upgrade from 10.3, to allow sync'ing of my iphone.
10.4 seems to go for a premium price at the moment - typically over £40.
10.5 is available for £30.
What would be best OS to go for?
Problem with Boot Camp31 May 2008 02:06 GMT8
I've got myself in a spot of bother. When trying to install windows xp I
didn't choose the 'format' option, and my Intel Mac Mini has got itself
in a loop.
After the first windows installation reboot the screen read: 'Disk

Bit of a rant about Leopard's Finder30 May 2008 22:31 GMT2
I am getting a bit fed up of Leopard's Finder behaviour. I had it
nicely sorted out in Tiger: I had an Automator script that connected my
network drives at login, and they all nicely appeared under my disk
name in the Finder sidebar. That's all gone pear-shaped in Leopard. For

Excel, new-style files.30 May 2008 13:37 GMT2
I've been sent my first .xlsx file. I've only got Excel 2004, and it
does all I want so I've no desire to pay MS again. However, there are
many out there who aren't savvy enough to do any more than what MS
suggests they do, and therefore I've got this file, and I'm likely to
Migrating from Entourage to Mail (Tiger) - any gotchas?30 May 2008 13:18 GMT35
Afore I go to bed, I am migrating across all my E-rage emails to Mail,
to start with, to see how it all goes, and have created a gmail pop
account as well.  Copying will take a few hours, it looks like.
Just wondered if there are any horrors to look out for? (I cloned
