USB power question07 Mar 2008 22:45 GMT5
Trying again ...
Does anyone know if a large USB-powered Wacom tablet purchased from the
US will work on a UK Mac's powered USB port? Or do the US Macs generate
USB port power at a different wattage to UK Macs?
Nisus Writer Express 2.7 under Mac OS X 10.507 Mar 2008 20:55 GMT1
If I Open a saved document, Nisus Writer crashes, and has to be Force
Quit.
The only way to prevent this is to create a new document first; after
that it will happily Open saved ones until the next time it's launched.

New keyboard layout and left-handers07 Mar 2008 19:25 GMT-
Am finding it hard to adjust to the new keyboard layout on this MacBook
Pro, and I've worked out why. The function keys I use the most, the
volume keys, have all been moved over to the right-hand side.
And I'm left-handed.

Ebay either, Google reader sometimes behaves strangely as well.
Everything works fine in Safari and Opera and it used to be fine in

Perpendicular USB adapters?07 Mar 2008 14:14 GMT5
Is there such a thing as a perpendicular USB adapter? By which I mean
something that I can plug into the USB port but then have a port that's
pointing lengthways up the laptop rather than sideways into the laptop?
Reason for asking is to reduce the width of the laptop with a USB ...
FYI: PCMCIA wifi card07 Mar 2008 13:53 GMT-
Just picked up a Dynamode WL-GI-300B-M for a friend, it is a 54G Mimo
card and on the back it states 'supports Mac OS X or higher'.
I'm not going to have chance to test this before passing it along to the
PC using scu^wfriend, but thought some may be interested, and it was sub

I recently had a bizarre problem with my MBP where it refused to
boot.  It just sat there displaying the apple logo and spinning
graphic with no indication as to what was making it hang or why.  In
the end a Google search claimed the only thing to do was to reformat

Grossly Short Measured Canon Inks07 Mar 2008 08:50 GMT-
I wonder if anyone else has suffered the same problem I have with
grossly short measured Canon Inks?
I have a new Canon printer, iP4300, which takes new ink cartridges.
The ink cartridges have a built-in sensor that is somehow supposed to
32GB USb flash drives07 Mar 2008 08:26 GMT3
I'm thinking of getting a 32GB USB flash key disk for putting stuff on that I
might occasionally use when travelling and using the MacBook Air and its
relatively small disk. Small and lightweight . Prices seem to be about £100.
Anyone got a 32GB USB flash disk?
