Hey chaps
I eagerly await delivery of my new Macbook Pro from Apple.  The
shipment status says it was dispatched on the 8th (Saturday), but the
estimated delivery date is still saying the 20th - 12 full days after

I have a weird issue, I shut down my mac and night but am discovering
that it is coming back on at midnight everynight. Anyone any ideas what
would do this ?

I have recently bought a new printer[1], updated to 10.5.2, updated
Acrobat Professional to 8.1.2 and reinstalled Office 2004 [2] all the
way from CDs through to 11.4.0 via the mind-numbing process of acceding
to the MS way of applying 10.3.6 after 10.3.5 before 10.3.7 and all

I recently changed the HD on my Mac Mini to a 250GB Samsung. I used
Carbon Copy via USB to make a clone of the old Mini drive, and I'm
pretty certain I formatted the new drive using the disk utility to Mac
OS. When I screwed it all back together it worked fine.

For those note following the SneakyPeek builds of OmniWeb, it has just gone
beta. Very nice it is too.

I've recently switched to a Mac Mini running OS 10.5 from a G4 running
OS 10.3. I'm using Apple Mail 3 when I had Mail 1 before.
I need to access some old e-mails from my old computer. I can still
access my old computer using target disc mode but I don't know which

I've been trying to take a specific screenshot of iTunes and thought that
Grab was the way to do it.  
Whenever I use iTunes -> Services -> Grab, the Grab options are greyed out -
any reason?  Am I doing something wrong?

Having spent all evening playing, and getting Outpuke (on XP) to do what
I want it to do with email, I've moved onto working with my calendar.
Am I right in assuming that the Blackberry *should* pick up any calendar
appointments I enter on the laptop? - only it doesn't seem to be ...

Any predictions, folks...? Is anything significant due an overhaul?

For quite a while - maybe since 10.5 - I've been unable to update zlib
under MacPorts. For instance when I run this command
    sudo port -d install zlib
I get all the guff shown below. Does anyone else have similar problems
