From the TFL website I was surprised that the iphone could display
both the PDF as well as the GIF (or jpeg)
So the iPhone has a PDF reader built in? But I can only read PDFs from
the web? What about email attachments?

My buddy received a set of five commercial (yet burned) data DVDs with
video tutorials by snail mail from an artist, and saw that some of the
DVDs were hard to read on my his spanking new 20-inch aluminum iMac. I
guess the bloke who burned the DVDs on his Windows box wasn't

couple of questions
suppose you had a hard drive full of movies
and you labelled all the comedy ones blue and all the actions ones
red. and maybe the ones you hadn't seen yet yellow (you get da idea)

By which I mean, does the iPhone do everything the Touch does?
By being in the right conversation at the right time I'm about to get
a work iPhone, and the question just popped into my head.

Does anyone have any recommendation for the best BitTorrent client for

Got a weird problem here chaps...
iChat 4 (Leopard, MPB) is soaking up around 100% CPU power to do
seemingly nothing.  Which is obviously making it rather toasty on the
lap.

What's the cheapest way to transfer some of my old VHS tapes to a
Mac-playable format, before I bin them? I have a VHS player and can make
use of a telly, but have no other useful kit.

I do my backups to a Smartdrive Firelite drive. Quiet, small, pretty,
fast (well, FW400). I don't compress stuff, just put it there so there
will be no hassles to restore it. I thought I'd be clever and
partitioned it- three partitions for different kinds of backups.
