I've noiced that MacBooks can secure stronger wifi connections than my
MacBook Pro (in the office I lose out and at home). In  fact the
(Intel) iMacs in the office get stronger signals than the MacBook Pro
as well. As far as I can tell we are running the same AirPort Extreme

Since updating to Safari 3.1, I cant use the shift or caps lock key to
give me capital letters in Gmail, If I try to enter an upper case letter
in the text it takes me back to the subject line and inserts it there.

Hi - i'm a bit of a numpty when it comes to wireless networking - I set
my connection up a year or two ago and it has worked flawlessly ever
since and I haven't altered it since.
It is an NTL Cable modem into an Airport Extreme Snow wireless router -

Seems I can go all over the internet, but not news.bbc.co.uk.

I like to run as a non-admin user for some nebulous sense of extra
security. The problem is that there are several applications that don't
quite work under this scheme. I can use "fast user switching" to run
those apps on a separate desktop belonging to my admin user, but that's
