Leopard Server Wiki and Internet Explorer 703 Feb 2008 19:14 GMT5
Looks like the Wiki server in Leopard Server can't be used with Windows
clients using IE7. Known issue in 10.5.0 and 10.5.1. [1] Bugger. I'm trying
to get my team in work to adopt Mac OS X Server for Wiki and Podcast
Producer. This issue, and the ongoing issue with the Microsoft ...
Networking an iMac03 Feb 2008 19:11 GMT41
I am trying to connect an iMac running OSX 10.4.10 to a wired Ethernet
network.  The network currently has three G3s running OS 8.6 and two
printers on it.  All the G3s can see each other and the printers.
I have turned Appletalk on and now the G3s can see the iMac but can only
iTMS: buying in the UK from the US03 Feb 2008 18:48 GMT5
Interesting - I'm now on holiday in the States for a bit and have just
bought a track from the UK iTunes Store using my account.
I thought they didn't allow that? I thought things were limited by IP
as well as by which country your card was registered to. Obviously my
Making NetNewsWire the deault app for atom feeds03 Feb 2008 14:53 GMT2
How do I make NetNewsWire the default app for Atom format newsfeeds that I
click in OmniWeb? RSS feed links automatically fire up NetNewsWire which then
prompts for the folder to add the new subscription to.
Atom feeds just list the feed XML in the browser window. I can manually

I've not come across anything like it before, and I'm giving its
purchase some serious consideration. Okay it's USB 2.0 only, which
obviously means that PPC machines can't boot from it and you'd have to
Last question about going Panther > Leopard03 Feb 2008 11:16 GMT11
After much deliberation, I think the best way is to buy the full
retail pack of OSX 10.5 (£85 form the Applestore)
However - I have a quick question - when I do the upgrade (on my G5
1.8 iMac) will the system retain all my net settings, folders and
DL DVD Recording03 Feb 2008 08:08 GMT13
Got some DataWrite  DVD +R DVDs the other day but the drive just won't
record them. Never had a problem before with other makes - Phillips,
TDK, Maxell, Memorex etc. In fact, it caused so much grief that the
drive at one point decided it wasn't a Dual Layer drive [according to

How cool is OmniFocus?02 Feb 2008 19:30 GMT20
I like it a lot. Every idea or task or thought gets dumped into it (via
iPhone email if out and about).
Then it's a simple task to sort, file and action everything.
Mind like water! BTW, I got GTD on audio book, as I never got round to
An embuggerance. a bit long.02 Feb 2008 18:33 GMT5
I accidentally spilt a tall glass of Jack Daniels and Coke over my
closed sleeping MacBookPro, which had the power adaptor plugged in.
I grabbed it quick and tipped the gunk onto the floor and wiped the
machine down with paper towels. On inspection no liquid appeared to have
Anyone tried Steam using crossover?02 Feb 2008 17:11 GMT2
Does anybody use Crossover Mac? Does the Steam download service work
with it, so you could play games like Portal without buying the physical
box?
Does Portal stand any chance of running on a MacBook?
