| OSX user interface niggles | 11 Feb 2008 11:30 GMT | 14 |
One of the things that made the Mac such a delight twenty years ago was the constistency of the user interface. I'm finding now that there are so many different window/dialog/edit/palette/widget bobbits that I either can't do something without the mouse, or it takes me four or five

| MacBook Air sold out at Apple Store Regent Street | 11 Feb 2008 11:25 GMT | - |
I saw one and immediately wanted one. However, they were sold out. It is extremely light. It's on a table in the FRONT LEFT as you go in. I'm suprised some chav hasn't attempted to run out with one yet. Is there any difference (weight wise) between the Hard disk and solid

| Mouse pointer freeze - 10.4.11 - huh? | 11 Feb 2008 11:15 GMT | 10 |
That's it, really. There I was, just woken up the 4G5, told Mailsmith to send some email I'd just scribbled, and the mouse pointer froze, keyboard response went, and the iLamp downstairs lost track of the G5's discs it had mounted,

| A bad week...... ish! | 10 Feb 2008 23:13 GMT | 10 |
Sunday finds my Canon IP4200 is showing signs of going duff - lines on the Cyan and Magenta colours, genuine carts, and the clean/test print shows it's OK, but photos are printing crap. Looks like a knackered head, which I suspect isn't worth replacing.

| Extern iSight camera switches off | 10 Feb 2008 20:02 GMT | - |
For some time now I'm unable to use my extern iSight camera. It's plugged in to my intel iMac with 10.5.1, not to a hub. The moment I plug it in to my intel iMac with 10.5.1 the green light goes on. After two seconds you hear the cam switch off and that's it.

| M$ Publisher | 09 Feb 2008 23:29 GMT | 7 |
Anne has been sent an attachment which is a M$ Publisher file. 5.8MB, for God's sake... Luckily, it's pretty unimportant, but it might be an idea if I gently reminded the sender that they are talking to themselves.

| Update problem | 09 Feb 2008 23:18 GMT | 12 |
Have any of you guys had a problem updating your OSX 10 version ? Mine freezes at 57 MB (of 330MB) and says there was a network error and it timed out. (The network is fine, but it keeps freezing at 57 MB, no matter what.)

| Clunky printing setup in Leopard | 09 Feb 2008 22:26 GMT | 2 |
Is it just me or is the printing process still very clunky? I want to print an A4 image with PS CS3 via my Canon i965 Printer. Every time I hit the Print button I get a warning telling me the image is too large and clipping will occur, despite the fact that I have about a 30mm
