| I'm such an easy lay... | 16 Feb 2008 21:10 GMT | 52 |
Bought a MacBook air. After nearly getting my shoulder broke with the MBP travelling to Manchester I couldn't resist. It's so light. I am SO an Apple tart! Got a 32GB touch to keep it company as well :-)

| Horrible Mac spotting in Cornwall | 16 Feb 2008 19:25 GMT | 17 |
Richard Driscoll's horror movie production factory on a farm in Cornwall. The idea is to churn out low budget horror movies to DVD at the rate of one a month. The edit suite is Final Cut Pro on running on a Mac Pro, as seen on the clip accompanying the article.

| Wacom Bamboo tablet is amazing | 16 Feb 2008 12:16 GMT | 3 |
I bought one for approx £60 from PCWorld. It's amazing: I can't believe I've never used one before. I now regret paying £50 for the Apple Bluetooth mouse. (I am using it on Windows at the moment. On the box it says it is Mac compatible)

| Remote shutdown | 16 Feb 2008 10:41 GMT | 12 |
I have a requirement to remotely shut down my Mac Mini (when the machine that's monitoring the UPS decides there's not enough battery left). Is there any reason why I (or rather, the script) shouldn't ssh to it and issue the appropriate "shutdown" command? Or is there a more Mac-ish ...

| How do you disable spaces? | 16 Feb 2008 02:36 GMT | 11 |
I find that Spaces makes MAME unplayable as it switches when you have CTRL and an arrow held at the same time, which happens rather a lot in MAME. In the System Preferences for Spaces, Enable Spaces is not ticked, and the hotkey section is all greyed out. CTRL-Arrows still switch ...
