Logging network throughput?19 Feb 2008 08:33 GMT5
I'm trying to troubleshoot some problems that seem to be related to
Leopard's self-tuning TCP. I'd like to hammer my network and log the

Is there anything that will help me do this? Command line, GUI,

I've got a iTunes library on a Mac with playlists and albumcovers. The music

some twenty odd people in the span of one evening has to throw up some
good prospects. Dates stretch from a miniscule three minutes to a
loooong ten minutes and at the end of it every single out there has

I'm running iPhoto (7.1.2) at the moment - all the album and event list
sidebar has disappeared, and I'm now stuck in whatever album was
selected before this happened.
I'm sure I'm missing something obvious like a 'show sidebar' setting,
My MacBook won't shut down18 Feb 2008 21:37 GMT1
Just bought a new MacBook in November. For the last 2 weeks, I've
noticed that when I try to shut down, it closes all the apps and my
desktop icons disappear, but all I have left is the little rotating
sunbeam icon (or whatever it's called) in the bottom centre of the
New Handbag Designs From Gucci18 Feb 2008 21:12 GMT-
Well, it’s that time of the year again. All of the big design houses
are releasing their new designs to the hungry masses, and Gucci is no
exception. Unless you have been stranded on a desert isle for the last
thirty years, you have undoubtedly heard of Gucci. They have been
iPod Touch as mail client?18 Feb 2008 20:25 GMT7
Could anyone please confirm to me how the mail sync on the iPod Touch works?
I'm thinking of getting one as a remote mail client but, ideally, would sync
to an account on an Exchange server.  I assume that's not possible?
That being the case, will I be able to access a regular POP ...

While copying stuff to an external USB drive, I noticed that search is

Anyone watching video over wireless?18 Feb 2008 10:53 GMT18
Is there anyone out there who is watching video from a disk accessed
over a wireless network? Is it working? I am having no end of problems
under Leopard, but it's completely glitch-free on Tiger. I was wondering
whether anyone has had problems - particularly on Leopard - and ...
Drobo or RAID? Which is better?18 Feb 2008 10:50 GMT-
When connecting +1TB of external storage to a Mac Mini, which is
