Is there a good Windows-compatible equivalent to Aperture photo books
that anyone can recommend?

The only (and I mean *only*) redeeming feature of the film "PS I Love
You" is a brief shot of a MacBook running (I think) Tiger in the
background of the apartment. Even this thrilling inclusion doesn't make
it worth seeing though.

Well, sort of.
Our iMac had become rather noisy of late, with the fans running fast
most of the time.  CPU Monitor showed that web browsers on my
children's accounts were using 100% of the cpu.  This turns out to

Fortunately, I haven't lost anything other than a bit of time and
effort, but still. I should have known better at my age.

I'm sure this has been discussed before but I'm struggling to work out how to
make Tiger keep hold of a Windows share when it wakes up.
The reason I need this is I have a music library on a Windows remote server
and use a network share in the iTunes libraries on each of the Macs ...
