Hmmm, I've now got two disk images from .dmg files I've just downloaded.
No, make that three, I just tried with an older .dmg. Guess I'll have to
reboot. This is 10.5.1 on a Mac Pro.

Yay!. Myself and two colleagues have just arrived in San Francisco for
MacWorld (after a few days on our stand at BETT!).
The countryside is a lot greener than it is in June/July/August. Temp

My Dad's eMac has suffered from exploding caps well outside of the three year
programme.
He took it apart (I wanted to get the HD out to transfer data to his new Mac
Mini) and proclaimed that the Hard Drive is 'hard wired' to the motherboard.
