Tiger and printer sharing30 Jan 2008 04:53 GMT2
I have a TiBook connected via Ethernet (and Devolo plugs) to an iG5. The
TiBook is running 10.3.9. Until recently, the iG5 ran 10.3.9 as well. I
had a HP1022 connected to the iG5, with printer sharing on, and it
worked perfectly, printing from the TiBook to the iG5. (It also worked
Multiple Time Machine disks30 Jan 2008 00:10 GMT4
Can I get Time Machine to backup to two different external disks, and
rotate these once every couple of weeks (one at home, one at work)
without Time Machine getting its knickers in a twist?

Anyone got a recommendation for one of these at all? A cheap one?

Upgrade (part of the way)29 Jan 2008 19:55 GMT13
Well, I've upgraded the iG5 to 10.4.11 (driven entirely by the need to
get the iPod Touch sorted).
This'll be no suprise to you technowizards, but a pleasant surprise to
this here technophobe, but it all seems to have gone rilly, rilly
10.4.11 hotter than 10.3.929 Jan 2008 19:24 GMT1
Since upgrading my 1.8GHz iG5 from 10.3.9 to 10.4.11 I have noticed that
the fan comes on more often and stays on for longer than it used to.

very quiet place. But 10.4.11 certainly runs it hotter than 10.3.9.

file into editable text?
This would provide a similar solution to the numerous transcribers
