No 10.5.217 Jan 2008 09:09 GMT5
I'd been hoping for an announcement of 10.5.2 - or at least a quiet
release of it. Nothing so far. On past precedent, is this something
that would be trumpeted, or just something that happens at the end of
Macworld?

(migrating from Windows/PC environment).
Two new Intel machines and an 2005 G4 serving as file server, updated to
Leopard as well.

*       doesn't have its own colour picker (so no hex values)

Solid state disk question17 Jan 2008 00:23 GMT14
So, does the solid state hard drive of the top of the range MacBook Air

Using an iMac as a monitor for my G516 Jan 2008 23:36 GMT2
Using an iMac as a monitor for my G5... It's not possible, is it?
I'm thinking about upgrading my Mac at some point this coming tax year and
reckon this time round the top-spec iMac would probably suit my needs.
However, I have a fancy soundcard in the G5 which I'm reluctant to ...

UK: £200/£270
US: £130/£190 ($230/$330 plus UK-style 17.5% VAT)
Yes, I'd love to pay 50% extra, I'm British.
That's rather higher than the standard 10%-15% UK tax Apple add on for

Apple TV: Video formats16 Jan 2008 19:27 GMT5
Has anyone worked out if the Apple TV v2 will be able to access .AVI,
VIDEO_TS, and/or .MOV files?
That's the only thing I'm waiting for!
Safari3 - Activity Window/dbl-click .swf problem16 Jan 2008 18:56 GMT2
When I double-click a .swf file in the activity window, it opens & plays in a
new window instead of downloading. This is happening on both an iBook & an
iMac. The weird thing is that I did this last night on the iBook (same .swf),
and it downloaded the file. Any thoughts?
iPhone 1.1.316 Jan 2008 18:55 GMT12
Now available via iTunes.
But it is 162Mb, and downloading *very* slowly.

I am having a seriously senior moment this morning with iTunes... how
exactly do you buy stuff? I am trying to buy the iPod Touch software
update. In iTunes when I go to the iTunes Store pane there is a link
right in the middle saying iPod Touch January Software Upgrade. When I
