Leopard Icons Question19 Jan 2008 01:44 GMT11
I installed Leopard just before Christmas on all the machines in the
house, and every one of them is displaying a different icon for the
Applications folder in the dock. My MacBook Pro uses a very slightly
smaller version of the address book icon, my iG5 uses the Adobe Acrobat
Macworld over....19 Jan 2008 01:22 GMT-
Well that's Macworld over. Bit of a subdued event to be honest. Not as

came to this one to get away for a holiday (I'm not one to go somewhere
unless there is something happening - cricket, tech conference, ...
Turbo 264 question19 Jan 2008 01:00 GMT-
I have successfully converted a few movies to AppleTV using Elgato Turbo
264. But I have one that's giving me problems. The movie is VIDEO_TS, just
the movie. When played before conversion, it's full screen, but  after
automatic conversion the picture is square and stretched ...

MBA - Just don't get it18 Jan 2008 21:33 GMT15
It's super sexy, no doubt but I've tried to convince myself to buy one
and the only reason I can come up with for buying one is for showing
off.
It seems it's all about style, nothing else. The fact that they can
Anyone care to bet18 Jan 2008 21:28 GMT55
What the MacBook Air $1799 will translate to over here? I'll start at
£1100.
Nice piece of kit. Interesting "borrow an optical" idea.

Creating thumbnail icons (OS 8.6)18 Jan 2008 20:52 GMT11
I have recently changed my camera, but the downloading software with the
new one (Canon A420) does not work on OS 8.6, so I use a card reader on
USB and copy the files across.  This leaves the picture files with just
generic icons and no thumbnail view, which makes identifying them ...
iPod touch Maps app - Big Brother?18 Jan 2008 20:42 GMT10
sh.t, that's spooky...
I just located myself using the new Maps app on the iPod touch.
It found me.
I thought it used WiFi hotspot locations? AFAIK there are none around me;

Firefox breaks Logic Pro... Why?18 Jan 2008 17:19 GMT1
This is a bit complicated.
I wanted to try and see if I could use Logic Pro 8 in a live setting as a
vocal processor, I thought I should be able to do this by sending the Mic
input in from my M-Audio firewire, applying some inserts, turning on
OK - so I have a new Mac Pro - now the questions!18 Jan 2008 16:39 GMT5
Arrived yesterday afternoon and set it up and spent a little time this
morning shifting files and so on across to it from my G5 OS 10.3 which
felt like a big jump.
Almost everything went smoothly as one would expect. After struggling to
