Leopard: No JDK 1.6?30 Oct 2007 00:56 GMT6
Is JDK 1.6 not around then? I had more or less expected it from
Leopard, bit surprised not to see it.

Hogwasher: Automatically deleting read articles?29 Oct 2007 22:23 GMT2
I've started using Hogwasher on my MacBook for newsreading, leaving Entourage
on the Mini for work use only.
I'm getting used to Hogwasher but am struggling to work out how to set it to
hide (or delete) read articles.

SheepShaver-2.329 Oct 2007 20:51 GMT4
Currently I'm on 10.3.9 on a dual 1GHz MDD G4 and need classic apps.
However, I'm tempted by Leopard and so I've downloaded SheepShaver-2.3
and read the instructions and the FAQ.
Does anyone know if I will be able to run Word 5.1A with SheepShaver?
Login & Keychain Update 1.0 - Be careful29 Oct 2007 20:28 GMT5
I have just had Mac technical support ring me back because I reported the
Software Update [see subject] broke my G4 iMac. Not everyone but quite a few
others have reported similar problems. It appears to break the machine's
ability to find the Airport card.
Safari crash accessing MS ISA proxy server via HTTPS29 Oct 2007 20:20 GMT-
Bugger. When I try to access the Internet in work, via a Microsoft ISA
server via https (not on port 443) Safari crashes after I enter my
username and password in the Safari authentication sheet.
Anyone else seeing this? Leopard build 9A581.
Back to my Mac..29 Oct 2007 20:06 GMT-
Is it me, or is this not actually working yet at all? Given this was
the thing that tipped me over into getting Leopard straight away, I'll
be a mite cheesed off if they've not got it ready yet.

iMac G4 HDD & optical - master, slave or cable select?29 Oct 2007 16:12 GMT3
As per a couple of weeks ago, I have an iMac G4 with defunct HD, which
I'm replacing.
The drive carrier I've taken out has the optical set to master, and the
HDD set to Cable Select. Various googling suggests for >= 1GHz, both
PowerMac G5, HD upgrade.29 Oct 2007 16:02 GMT5
We've a PowerMac G5 in the office here and the graphics dept (one guy)
has filled the drive. I want to add a new disk. Having only (relatively)
recently switched to Mac from Windows and Linux I'm not sure about the
upgrade.
