DVD players PAL/NTSC11 Oct 2007 20:07 GMT18
It's late and I'm tired, so I just want reassurance - I can play Region
1 NTSC DVDs on my old Powerbook G4, can't I?
Even if I have to use VLC to watch it without using up a region change,
NTSC/PAL isn't an issue with computer DVD players, is it?

On my Eye TV programme guide, Tab no 32 is marked as Film 4 + 1, no
matter what I do, I only seem to be able to get Channel 4  + 1, which I
didn't know existed. Has anyone else had this problem ?

Eye TV/USB dongles11 Oct 2007 13:32 GMT2
I've had a play with EyeTV and two USB dongles. A Terratec Cinergy
Hybrid T USB XS and a Mobi DTV. The Mobi was a USB tuner I had lying
around that had previously been used with a PC, it's not listed by
Elgato as Eye TV compatible.

Psion + Mac: Can we talk?11 Oct 2007 11:19 GMT16
Is there anyway to easily(!) transfer data from a Psion (5 or 7) to a PPC
Mac? I see that there's PsiWin for Windows, but wondered if it's possible on
a Mac. I quite fancy one of these as a note-taking gadget...

Postage is *really* screwed up!10 Oct 2007 21:58 GMT31
Without wanting to get into a political argument about the RM, I just
want to vent some frustration.
Before the strike started, I had the wrong mail posted through my door,
so I have to post it off again.
NAS / Airport Disk functions10 Oct 2007 21:54 GMT-
I'm vaguely thinking of getting a NAS system for wireless backups,
streaming video and wireless printing, and possibly a temporary dumping
ground for stuff. I'd like things to be as seamless as possible (eg have
Front Row show the NAS videos on its menus[1]) and not have to do any
