[OSX 10.4.10; I GHz; 1.25 Gb SDRAM; 2Mb L3 cache; Digital Audio].
I bought a Mikomi (Argos' own brand) webcam for my G4 and using WebCam
Monitor software. I can't recall whether it came with the webcam or was
OpenSource (looked again and unable to find hence this post).

Local printing company again: Mac G5 running OS10.4.10.
Is there a built-in newsreader?  I can't find anything ...
If not, what's the simplest thing to install?  I'm familiar with the
newsreader component of Outlook Express on a PC, so I'm not after anything

Seen the new Mac advert with the spinning iMacs accompanied with cheesy
ditty?  While it's nice to see Macs being advertised on TV again, can
you see anyone sitting upright in awe, and then going out to buy one on
the strength of that?  Is that really the best the marketing dollars ...

Front Row looks in the ~/Movies folder to populate its Movies menu item.
Can I point it elsewhere? I don't want to have all my other random stuff
showing up in the Front Row menu (so aliases, while they work, don't
solve that problem as my crap still shows up), but at the same time ...

I have a DivX movie in 16:9ish format, which has black bars top and
bottom making it a 4:3ish video file. If I play this in Front Row, it
fits to screen and so I get an inch of black on the sides as well!
I've tried masking the bars in Quicktime [1] and it then looks perfect
