FreeFlatScreens websites on different forums, blogs, IM's, etc, you
are about to puke.  So am I.  But yet the draw of getting an Ipod for
doing basically nothing is pretty strong.  I dismissed all the

iPod Touch21 Sep 2007 13:47 GMT7
Just had a play with one in Regent Street. Immediate thoughts - the
interface is very nice - not quite as fluid as one might be led to
believe from the ads, bit still pretty good. The only real irritation
was that when holding it at a comfortable viewing angle, it wasn't

I have a C2D Macbook Pro with a 160gb disk (currently 40gb used). I make
regular backups of it using Superduper to a Raid1 (2x500gb) array. Most
of my pictures and videos are also stored on the raid on a data partition.
I also make a backup of my documents folder to a 4gb USB ...

Old Cube - new again21 Sep 2007 00:04 GMT5
My G4 Cube started mucking about earlier this year.
Went for test.... nix ... nothing wrong ... but every time
it wobbled, it switched off.
It had had a new HD, and a new RAM stick, so these

Anyone got one yet?
With the various comments about degraded sound quality I wondered if
there is a difference.
Slow network backup20 Sep 2007 22:38 GMT1
It's not a complaint, it's what I'd like.
I'd like a system which constantly backs up files, over a network. I
don't want it to hammer the network, disk or CPU intensively, I want it
to notice every time a file has been changed and then quietly shovel it
Option key over VNC?20 Sep 2007 21:25 GMT-
I'm using Vine Server on my Mac and VNCViewer on my work PC - this is
the only combination I have found that works quickly and reliably.
I can't use the option key when VNCing in - command is served by the
PC's Alt key, and control by the PC's ctrl key, but I can't find a key
