DG824M has forgotten that it can do wireless13 Sep 2007 21:35 GMT15
My netgear DG824M has forgotten that it can do wireless, to the extent
that there's not even any 'Wireless' entry in the left-hand menu. Has
anyone else seen this?
It was a bit sporadic on the wireless reception (ie it would drop out
Maddie McCann13 Sep 2007 20:55 GMT34
Has anyone considered the possibility that Maddie may have been a very
disobedient, annoying little brat that finally pushed one of her parents
over the edge?
Educational software for GCSE13 Sep 2007 20:48 GMT-
Any idea where I can get some for the Mac?
I'm needing stuff for year 8 onwards really, particularly GCSE level.
There's loads for toddlers and up to age 11, but after that not much (at
least not current anyway.
New iPod Nano13 Sep 2007 20:14 GMT2
Just received my new 8gig iPod nano today, those people who think its
fat or ugly must not have held one in their hands, its tiny and its
gorgeous. Video on it looks beautiful and the interface, although a
bit laggy is quite neat. I have the black which also looks really
Sharing files between a TiBook and an iG513 Sep 2007 19:55 GMT6
I've been doing this for several years- originally via Ethernet but now,
because the new house makes trailing cables much less practical, via
(for the iG5) Wifi and a DG834, and (for the TiBook) some Devolo units.
Both the 667 TiBook and the iG5 are running 10.3.9.
Copying a BootCamp XP partition?13 Sep 2007 14:58 GMT4
I'm looking to migrate my MacBook from a 120gig disk to a 250gig
drive, normally a familiar procedure.
I've currently got a BootCamp partition though. What's the procedure
for copying that over? Disk Utility doesn't seem to believe in the
VMware Fusion, multiple snapshots (paging Chris)13 Sep 2007 14:39 GMT10
As requested by Chris, I asked the VMware Fusion guys about plans for
multiple snapshots in the Future. Twice. In the VMware booth and in the
Fusion session. Both times I got a large grin, a stoke reply: "We can't
comment on future products". The Product manager in the Fusion ...
Apple cold calling ..13 Sep 2007 10:29 GMT49
Just took a call on behalf of our Mini owning daughter offering us the
Apple Care package. She started off asking the typical usage so far
and I had to confess 'hardy any' (but mentioned she had only started
design college this Monday) and when it was used it was more typically
Keyboard Software Update13 Sep 2007 00:41 GMT2
Now available.
At 22MB it must contain something to fix the caps lock problem on the
new keyboard I would hope. Restart required until I find out.
Taking pictures with Image Capture12 Sep 2007 23:54 GMT6
The Help for Image Capture says you can tell your camera to take a
picture by clicking "Download Some", then "Take Picture", but there is
no "Take Picture" icon.  It says "If you don't see the Take Picture
icon, choose View > Customize Toolbar, and drag the icon to the
Starnge network problem12 Sep 2007 22:24 GMT4
When I connect a MacBook Pro to the office network and set the IP to
something in the 172.21.20.n range (ether manually or via DHCP) the
front most process exits. The Finder then goes in to an exit, relaunch,
exit, relaunch... loop until either the network cable is removed. If

Mac and/or Open Source collaborative calendar software12 Sep 2007 15:39 GMT6
I need to set up a calendar than can be used and edited by a group of
people. I understand that a Google calendar will do this, but I don't
like endorsing Google.
Is there any alternative that can be recommended? As long as both
