Morning!
Can anyone recommend a label printer that prints long, thin labels
(suitable for network switches, rackmount servers and other IT stuff)
that works with a Mac, and has labels that actually stick to IT
iTunes visualiser and dual screens24 Aug 2007 18:14 GMT2
I'm increasingly frustrated at how iTunes Visualiser works on this dual
screen iMac (2.0 iMac G5 using SSD if that makes a difference).
If I have the iTunes window on the external monitor and do Cmd-T, Cmd-V, both
monitors go black and then the visualiser is shown on the external ...

New Keyboards24 Aug 2007 16:47 GMT16
I had the chance to play with one of the new Apple keyboards today and
was very pleasantly surprised. It really is like typing on the desk but
the action is very good and I reckon the Bluetooth one will fly off the
shelves once it is available.

Fn key locked on 12'' G4 Powerbook24 Aug 2007 12:02 GMT7
the Fn key on my powerbook somehow got locked, i.e. the keyboard
access is like the Fn key is down. Quite annoying.
I have no idea how I managed to do so and according to the manual, the
fn key cannot be locked.

I'm looking for a larger usb bus powered drive to do a complete drive
clone (160gb internal drive) - 250gb+
What's on your menu bar24 Aug 2007 10:21 GMT61
After reading an old article on MacDevCenter.com
<http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2003/09/30/dock.html> I was
curious to see what other u.c.s.m'ers have on their menu bars.
One for the Skitchers maybe.
iPhoto 08: photos that -aren't- events?24 Aug 2007 08:57 GMT3
Is it possible to have photos that aren't part of events? I've got
plenty of one-or-two shot imports that I don't want cluttering up the
events view, but I still want access to from the main Photo section of
the library.
iPhoto 08: republish a gallery after the net conncetion dropped?23 Aug 2007 22:52 GMT-
I've published a protected .Mac gallery, but my wi-fi connection
dropped out part way through. iPhoto reported the drop, but I can see
no way of asking it to resume (unless I fiddle with settings, but
that's changing settings not resuming as such).
Promethean Active white boards, Ink and NovaMind...23 Aug 2007 20:42 GMT-
I hooked my MacBook Pro up to a couple of Promethean Active White
Boards we have in meeting rooms in work today (I was making sure they
worked as people have just been using them as projection screens for
presentations). They worked fine with the MacOS X drivers available

missed the boat?
