Connecting Windows EIDE via USB to a Mac29 Aug 2007 17:12 GMT12
my creeky old Poweredge server has died (at last) and I have been
given permission to buy a shiny new iMac.
The problem is there's 7 years of stuff on the Dell's EIDE drives I

Missing app registration/keys29 Aug 2007 15:52 GMT4
In the changeover to a new MacBook Pro some of my apps have lost their
serial numbers and are asking me to purchase or enter them again. One

the the makers to send me the number again, I wondered if there was

I recently used Migration Assistant in an attempt to get data from my
old G4 PowerBook to my new MacBook Pro. There are many things it has

as rules and all items designated to individual projects via Project

Image of web page?29 Aug 2007 09:13 GMT13

bottom, even if it doesn't all fit on screen?
Printing isn't an adequate alternative, I need to capture how it wouuld
render on screen.
Merlin Mann video on "Inbox Zero"29 Aug 2007 08:02 GMT22
This is interesting. A Google Talk video my Merlin Mann keeping your
InBox empty. I've been doing this for a few months now in work (using
the GTD Outlook plug-in - which is excellent). Just started doing the
same for my personal email accounts in Apple Mail (using this on 10.5

iChat: disable sign-in from multiple locations?28 Aug 2007 20:39 GMT2
At some point I must have accidentally set this machine to allow sign
in from multiple locations in AIM. I can't seem to see anything in the
preferences about turning this off again - does anyone know how?
Cheers,
iDVD - alternative soundtracks?28 Aug 2007 17:07 GMT-
I'm mastering a DVD (of footage from the computing and media holiday I
help to run - http://www.transformers.org.uk/) and I would like some
bits of the footage to have a choice of two audio tracks (in the same
way that many movie DVDs have a director's commentary, or a choice of

I saw recently that Novatech are offering something similar, the
