Bloody MS Word #7308 Aug 2007 09:46 GMT9
I just had a major panic, having noticed that my network traffic was up
around 240Kbps, but I wasn't downloading anything. I quit Safari,
Eudora, MacSoup... but the bytes streaming to and from my computer
continued.

I've just switched our distributed TV signal back from NTL/Virgin to
terrestrial for Freeview and re-tuned the hybrid from Analogue to
Digital.

Further to advice received here yesterday, has anyone got a Palm TX and

PDF Merging07 Aug 2007 23:34 GMT6
Due to the bizarre way Office 2004 prints to PDF I found myself looking
for a utility to merge individual pages of a PDF together. After trying
Combine PDF and PDFLab I settled on the first one as it crashed less.
Neither of them seemed to offer great control of page rotation and ...
Not inspired07 Aug 2007 23:18 GMT2
So, nothing exciting enough for me to rush out and buy one.  If they'd
offered a free Tiger upgrade I might have done, but as it is I'll wait
a bit.

PDA sync to OS X07 Aug 2007 22:19 GMT6
After a disastrous couple of days with a Palm TX, I have decided to
resurrect my iPaq Pocket PC. I dont want to install windows just to sync
it to OS X, so I was wondering if anyone had experience with either the
MIssing Sync or Pocket Mac Pro. If so is one significantly better.
Corollary to Moore's Law?07 Aug 2007 22:00 GMT8

What raised my eyebrows this morning was upgrading my Fetch from v4 to
Unable to burn DVD07 Aug 2007 22:00 GMT-
Suddenly I am unable to burn a DVD on my Pioneer 109, it used to work
but I haven't tried in many months. When trying 'Toast' and clicking on
the burn button the window just shakes from side to side. I tried 'Burn'
but it wouldn't burn either.
