PhoneDirector - better than BluePhoneElite09 Aug 2007 10:25 GMT1
I was happy to discover BPE, as I had an urgent need to download and
archive SMS from my Nokia 6210. Right from the start there were
problems - it seems to provoke frequent KP on my blackBook, and it
loses the date stamp from sent messages, but it mostly filled my

Font gon AWOL ... help advice, pls08 Aug 2007 23:24 GMT1
About a year ago I created a load of illustrator documents. Reviving
the project I opened a couple of the files today and was confronted
with a warning "Font Problems" dialogue box telling me that the font,
HumanaSerifMdITCTTMedta is not found on the system and that it has
Slide processing08 Aug 2007 21:32 GMT4
My mum has quite a lot of slides going from the early 60s to the early
70s.
We went to see her at the weekend and she was watching them, although
she has lost her screen somewhere.

New CPUs in Mini08 Aug 2007 20:26 GMT-
Does anyone know which Intel chip part is fitted in the new Minis yet, and
have they bumped the FSB?
I'd like to upgrade mine so I'd like to know if they're compatible.
Numbers/Pages: text rotation possible?08 Aug 2007 19:28 GMT1
Trying out Pages and Numbers in iWork 08 - anyone know whether it's
possible/how to rotate text in a cell (preferably in merged cells).
Example (from the venerable Mac Word 2004):

AAC on Windows?08 Aug 2007 15:37 GMT1
I know it's off-topic but it's probably an issue that a few people here
have encountered...
I want to play the AAC files that I have ripped through iTunes on my
Windows PC at work. I don't have admin rights so I can't install iTunes
Apple cock-up08 Aug 2007 13:11 GMT5
Dear All
Getting it off my chest here!
I called Apple Tech Support last week on behalf of a client with a problem
iBook. Yes, says Apple, it's covered by iBook extended logic board repair
iPhoto annoyance!08 Aug 2007 12:42 GMT44
That'll teach me to fiddle with photos when I've just got up!
But this is something I've noticed a lot and it's a pain:
If you crop a photo that you've already done things to, and then do some
more adjustments, even if you decide to cancel all the adjustments, you

iPhoto 0808 Aug 2007 10:07 GMT-
Finally got into the video of the special event and I was interested in
the changes made to iPhoto. It looks like they have recognised that the
'roll' based metaphor that was used before was far too limited.
Being able to create 'events' to manage photos is much more intuitive
Today's event -mini-tower likely?08 Aug 2007 09:49 GMT21
Any thoughts on Apple perhaps selling a mini-tower? Something like two drive
bays instead of four, fewer slots etc.
I still say there's a market.
I think the mini may be doomed though - I think Apple see the Apple TV as
