Saw it in the Argos clearance, 15 quid, down from 40.
Took a bit of a gamble that the Mac Book could run it under VMWare or
Bootcamp. Specs. suggest it will.

I have been searching around to try and understand the limitations with
Adobe DNG and OS X. It's a bit of a struggle so I'd welcome any
pointers.

Conclusions: The glossy display might be an issue. The keyboard might be an
issue. WiFi performance is downs slightly due to the metal enclosure.
Other than that it's a very solid machine.

How can I find out what my download speed is in MBs. After lots of trouble
with Virginmedia 20mb I now have some service and would like to know how
much, so I have some ammo to use next time I phone Virgin.
Not to technical, please.

I though the 30MB keyboard update was absurd, but I see the Boot Camp
download is 347MB!  What on earth is in it?

I went to the Regent Street Store to have a look at the new iMac.  I
can't really type standing up, but the feel of the keyboard was Ok.  I
can imagine getting up a turn of speed on it, although I think I prefer
my regular-sized keyboard and my Powerbook 12" keyboard.

If so and you have a few moments could you do a little test for me? It's
to determine if the firewall function is stuffed. Disabling the firewall
should just change the default INCOMING filter from DENY All to ALLOW ALL.

The thing is, I like it.
Numbers won't get an awful lot of use but I think their implementation
of a spreadsheet in a suite of programs that costs only £55 is very good
indeed.  It's not fast on my 3 year old iMac but it's nicely done.

I have an iPod that has decided to stop working.
The click wheel is unresponsive.
I have had it about 2 and a half years.
Can anyone recommend a place to get it repaired? Is it going to cost loads?

I'm new to Apple Macs and have just bought a Macbook Pro.
Is there a way I can create a scheduled backup job each day or week?
