| Testing Safe Sleep | 31 Aug 2007 23:36 GMT | 18 |
I'm about to install some extra RAM in my MBP. I wonder what will happen if I let it safe sleep, pop the battery, install the RAM and turn it back on... Will it restore the state, but not notice the extra RAM?

| Bookworm Deluxe now Universal too | 31 Aug 2007 22:55 GMT | - |
No change in version number since 1.0.0, so versiontracker didn't catch this as it did Bejeweled. However, I decided to look anyway to see if it had been converted to Intel and it has - worth downloading once more. <http://www.popcap.com/games/mac/bookworm>

| The OS doesn't matter... then what? | 31 Aug 2007 21:53 GMT | 6 |
There has been talk over the last few years about how Internet apps are going to render the choice of operating system irrelevant. Now, I think that many people here will share my belief that internet apps aren't a patch on desktop apps for useability or features, yet a

I want to give different email addresses to my contacts so that, when one of them lets a spammer get the address I have given to that contact, I can change that address without having to tell all my other contacts. So, if my domain is username.me.uk.invalid [without the invalid,

| Tiger synchronisation wizard | 31 Aug 2007 17:22 GMT | 7 |
I have two Mac Minis (G4, 512MB, 80GB, SuperDrive) and a USB/Firewire caddy for a desktop IDE hard disk. Someone I know wants to buy one of these Mac Minis, buy only if he can transfer the files, preferences and so on from his old machine, a B/W G3 running Tiger. He only kept

| iPhoto = iGoSlow | 31 Aug 2007 17:22 GMT | 10 |
This iPhoto 6.0.6 I'm running is starting to get really slow. It has just a few short of 10,000 images in it. It's running on an iMac G5 2.0 with 1GB of RAM - I wouldn't have thought it would be quite this slow.

| Scripting Mail.app | 31 Aug 2007 16:58 GMT | 1 |
I have decided that it would make sense for me to automatically CC a specific business address on all of my business messages. I can't see an obvious way to do that in Mail. Is there a way to AppleScript or do something else to do this?

A Seagate Barracuda SCSI drive pulled from a working PowerMac. It has OS9 on it and if I recall correctly there are also a number of third party applications on there too. Stuff like Photoshop and Dreamweaver. I don't know the drive capacity but the part number is 9N3005-001.

Does anyone know what the 'Pause All (Sticky) means in the right click menu when pausing a download. Admittedly this is on my PC so apologies, I cannot find a relevant PC group (I do use a Mac as well) Also, if anyone can point me towards an iTunes/PC centric newsgroup.

| Parallels Desktop for Mac Beta 2... | 31 Aug 2007 06:44 GMT | 11 |
. is pretty nifty. Build 5120 from 24th August. The shared desktop between the Mac and a guest Windows VM, plus the auto access to the Mac User filesystem from within the Guest OS is excellent. The default application settings are also class.
