Ipod Batteries24 Jul 2007 07:56 GMT1
I have bought my iPod battery from www.ipodbatterydepot.com and they
were great.  The prices were very inexpensive, the installation was
easy, and the battery is lasting a very long time.
X1124 Jul 2007 06:04 GMT7
Could anyone do me a favour: I've been loaned a MacBook Pro, but they
left the system disks out of the box (they're now on their way but not
till next week). In the meantime I've downloaded the dev tools from ADC,
but I'm stuck without X11.

Airport dropout23 Jul 2007 22:56 GMT3
Here's an odd one. Difficult to diagnose as it's at the in-laws and
their neighbour's house, neither of whom are in any way technically
inclined (so troubleshooting is difficult as the problems they report
are vague at best).
VMware Fusion - change disk types?23 Jul 2007 22:11 GMT10
I know I can do this on the PC, but on the Mac is there any way of
altering a VMware disk once it's been created? The VMware disk type
that is, not the contents.
Specifically I have a disk which was created as an 18Gig image split
iCal sharing - dumb question23 Jul 2007 22:08 GMT2
With a 'standard' 10.4.10, Apache running, a FQDN; it should be easy
enough to share iCal calendars within the private network?
Specifically, between users on the same machine?
Could some kind haddock point me to a 'howto' please?

Eye TV and Toast23 Jul 2007 20:51 GMT2
I regularly record programmes using EyeTV and occasionally burn them to
DVD-RW, using Toast (7.1.2). There has never been a problem until
yesterday, I tried to burn a program and the video was fine but the only
soundtrack was occasional spoken narration. The soundtrack is ok  played
iPod Issues and when are new ones out?23 Jul 2007 20:07 GMT6
I am currently nursing a very sick ipod which ever other day locks up,
doesn't play songs just cycles through them and occasionally starts up with
an unhappy face and then fixes itself ten minutes later.
I have had loads of problems when it was full so had 58gb on it now i have

How does NAS work, in practice?23 Jul 2007 17:19 GMT2
If I have a NAS device on my network, how do I mount it and unmount it?
Is it through the Network icon on the Finder sidebar, in the same way I
mount another computer's drive?
Is it possible to mount or unmount automatically, ie if I open my laptop
Photo download - pic being used by OSX?23 Jul 2007 12:22 GMT8
iPhoto has been locking up when I try and d/l pix from my Nikon D200.
Copying the pix over from the CF card has also caused a lock-up.
Some of the pix (I'm suspecting corrupted images) have zero KB size, and
when you click on them, you get this message:
