Combining dual-ADSL feeds for increased bandwith?13 Jul 2007 11:40 GMT1
Anyone have any real world experience of combining two or more ADSL
connections so that the bandwidth is aggregated?
We are going to be moving offices shortly. The nice people at Gradwell
are providing VoIP services. We have 2 x ADSL 8Mb/832k lines, which were
safe use of keychain?13 Jul 2007 11:34 GMT3
It occurred to me the other day that the use of OS X's keychain as I
have it setup now isn't ideal. My MB boots without a user password,
and if someone were to open a browser and go to a number of obvious
websites then my password would be entered by the keychain.

Freeway or RapidWeaver13 Jul 2007 10:16 GMT17
I'd like thoughts on either Freeway or RapidWeaver as a web design tool. And
Freeway comes in two flavors: Pro & Express. Please offer opinions on both
versions if possible. Thanks.
Connect to a file-sharing Mac as two different users?13 Jul 2007 09:37 GMT9
I have my Mac Mini set up primarily as a media server. It has a normal
user called 'house', and then a login for me as an admin.
If I want to connect to its attached external drives, I need to connect
as me, the admin account. If I want to log in to see the normal

MacSOUP and 10.4.1012 Jul 2007 23:32 GMT12
Has this been mentioned? Just looking at the MacSOUP header info and it
says 10.4.9 although I'm using 10.4.10. Had a look at a few of the usual
suspects headers and they're all 10.4.9. Maybe Stefan never thought the
version number would reach double figures?
iPod Photo hassles12 Jul 2007 22:54 GMT-
I'm having hassle with my iPod Photo - 60gig version. It's now been on
charge for a couple of hours, but hasn't budged from showing just one
bar on the battery charge icon (not the normal one, the monochrome one
that appears and fills the screen when you're on very low charge). ...
Cheaper iPhone coming, apparently12 Jul 2007 22:52 GMT3

Perhaps Apple will also do an "iPhone Nano" that won't have any display
at all - it will just call people from your contacts list at random?
Making a booklet....... aarrrrgh!12 Jul 2007 20:41 GMT27
So, I've 'offered' to help create the parish magazine for my sister's
church. No problem, says I.
I have Pages, NeoOffice and PrintShop, I'm sure one of those can handle
it. All I need is a few pages of text and pics in an A5 booklet.
Two trends12 Jul 2007 18:08 GMT7
The first is merely amusing: have you noticed how many websites are
starting to acquire iPhone-like stylings (black rectangles, with rounded
corners and containing little square icons).
The second might be more significant, and it's the rise of
Minimize not working?12 Jul 2007 14:25 GMT2
Anyone noticed if their minimise (either the yellow button or a double-click)
ever fails to work?
The only thing I've done recently is reinstall Aleph One... Weird! Will try a
restart soon...

Is S-video just an output?12 Jul 2007 10:49 GMT7
This feels like a silly question, but is the S-video socket on my PBG4
only for output?
We've just bought a DVD recorder, planning to bin the VCR. First though,
we have to transfer all the videos we want to keep to DVD, so I bought a
Apple humour11 Jul 2007 21:56 GMT4
Last Leopard beta had a "The Matrix" themed icon for terminal.
Any one clocked the icon for SMB shares in this one?
Hint: the icon for an AFP share is an Apple Cinema Display showing the
Aqua Blue screen...
