Camino v Firefox?31 May 2007 23:35 GMT7
I would be grateful for any wisdom that might be around in ucsm on the
choice between using Camino and Firefox as one's browser.
Clearly there are Mozilla's own views on their respective pages. But are
there differentiating whoopees/gotchas that come from experience?
WPA Personal networking31 May 2007 23:09 GMT6
I have just changed my network from WEP that it has always been to WPA.
This is from an old Linksys 54G which I have been using for quite a
while. This also coincides with me getting the Macbook pro and sab
getting the reinstalled Macbook.
Does running OS on an Intel Core Duo PC turn it into a Mac?31 May 2007 22:12 GMT14
A friend of mine is running OS-10 (of some kind) on his PC laptop with
Celeron CPU, and with this he can run Logic Express for Mac.
Generally speaking can one clone a Mac by using an intel CPU on a PC
and running OS-10 (of some flavour)?

So, iPod car stereos...?31 May 2007 20:41 GMT16
These iPod-ready car stereos... How much do they do? What I can see
through the haze of stupid animated websites doesn't look promising.
I know you can go back and forward, and I presume you can choose from
your playlists. What else? Can you browse by artist and by album? Can
AppleTV / YouTube - a thought31 May 2007 20:02 GMT1
From the BBC articlei <http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6707267.stm>:
"Apple added that YouTube members would also be able to log onto their
YouTube accounts on Apple TV.  "
One way of interpretting this is that they're going to allow a keyboard

I was in the market for a laser printer, I did the usual searches, and
found www.printerland.co.uk to be the cheapest by around £8 - £48

Help me choose a new monitor for my G431 May 2007 17:04 GMT2
My lad has finally convinced me that the old Apple 15" display is to
small and too yellow !  So it's time to get the wallet out and go for
a new 19 incher.  It will run in 10.4.9 on my G4 tower fitted with
Radeon 7000 card - so has DVI + VGA + S-vid outputs.

Papers and Yojimbo31 May 2007 15:30 GMT9
I've just started to use Papers [1] in anger. It's brilliant for
managing journal papers (duh!), but I also love the Save as PDF to
Papers item in the Print as PDF pop-up in the Print dialog. Makes it
really easy to save a web page as a PDF for reference. It can also
How to synch iTunes libraries between 2 Macs31 May 2007 15:23 GMT3
Following on from my babbling about my new blackBook - what is the
best way to keep my iTunes library in synch between the laptop and the
desktop - something like Chronosync, or is there an easier solution
that I didn't think of?

Having recently upgraded to TextWrangler 2.2.1, I can no longer do
multi-file searches. Has anyone else suffered this inconvenience?
