Apple Computer & Other Accessories Expert Reviews08 Apr 2007 07:09 GMT-
Reading expert reviews is informing one's self of the good and bad
points of a product. Most of them have pros and cons which are based
on the detailed examination and tests of the item. Some reviews may
even have ratings to make for a numerical comparison with other

So - displays. Who's best?07 Apr 2007 23:44 GMT23
Might be looking at a Nice Shiny Tower in the next few months, for which I'll
need a Nice New Display to go along with it. What's the current thinking on
displays? Apple's are nice, but a tad expensive for what they are (although the
US store dropped prices today, so that's ...
Cleaning the white keyboard ?07 Apr 2007 20:29 GMT6
The white Apple keyboard I use with the G4 is now beginning to get "crumby".
What's the best way to clean it out ?  Vacuum cleaner ?  Looks like if
you remove the 3 screws from the base that the white part would lift out
from the clear perspex base - and thus be easy to clean out. ...
Audio review: T-Amp (not exactly OT)07 Apr 2007 20:19 GMT21
Some time ago, I asked about a small audio amp to plug in between my Mac
and some speakers.  Well, I got told what's what and I finally bought a
T-amp a few weeks ago.  I've been using it driven by a dinky little
Maplin switched mode 3A PSU (which cost another £20-odd).

I have photoshop 5.5 (registered)on an old performa, which I seldom use
now. If I use a 7  upgrade package, do I have to install onto the old
mac, or can it go straight to my G4 (Tiger) ?
I presume 7 is the highest I can go for upgrade.
Fack you very much Adobe07 Apr 2007 17:02 GMT37
No sales taxes to muddy the differences, Adobe really are asking us to
pay more than double to upgrade to CS3:
Sterling Prices       US         UK
CS3 Upgrade          £224      £465
Panther server and DNS07 Apr 2007 15:28 GMT1
OS X server won't work without DNS
I have this set up and working.  Which is fine.  Except when my ISP has
a problem with their DNS, which doesn't happen very often, but does
happen some times.  That's bad because no one here can do any work then.
HD televisions07 Apr 2007 14:41 GMT108
Sorry to bring this up again. Virgin Media are now starting to offer HD
services over cable (BBC HD is available now). When HD Ready TV's have
been discussed here in the past the consensus seemed to be that it
would be better to wait for "proper" HD units before buying.

Mac Classic II07 Apr 2007 12:02 GMT11
I've just been down to the tip to drop off 2 old monitors and in with
the old monitors and TVs was a Mac Classic II. It didn't have a keyboard
or mouse and may not work so I left it there. It's a shame to see it
left there at the end of it's life.
Apple TV07 Apr 2007 08:39 GMT2
I was wondering how the Apple TV wireless works with the older Airport
Extreme network cards that only support 802.11b and 802.11g.
Anyone got any experience of how the streaming works with these older
cards?
Happy Birthday!07 Apr 2007 07:48 GMT16
Today is Phillip Walters's [1] birthday. And there was merriness and
rejoicing! And then pushing people home in shopping trollies.
Hope you have a good one, Phillip!
