Linux (x86-64) on extermal FireWire drive ?09 Apr 2007 13:34 GMT-
Although I've got OpenSUSE running well under VMware Fusion it looks
like I may need to boot Linux natively for some of my work. Rather than
get into the fun and games of partitioning my MBP internal drive I'm
thinking I'll just install OpenSUSE on an external FireWire drive. I'm ...

Having some idle time, I've been discovering the joys of RSS. Are there

USB 1 vs 2 cabling08 Apr 2007 22:48 GMT5
Is there a difference between a USB 1 and a USB 2 cable at all? I'm
scrapping some old gear at the moment and this uncludes a USB 1.1 hub -
the hub's now past its sell-by date but if there's no difference in
cabling I'll keep the A/B cable.
Hogwasher SSL08 Apr 2007 19:54 GMT-
The FAQ page on Giganews <http://www.giganews.com/faq.html#q7.1> says that
Hogwasher can do SSL for news. I can't see how to make that happen and
there's nothing I can find in the help or at asar.com about it either.
You'd think that if it was mentioned in the GN FAQ, that it ...

Safari Question08 Apr 2007 17:55 GMT4
Afternoon all, hope your enjoying the weather. Just a quick (and I bet
patently obvious) question with Safari: how do you change the screen size? I
seem to have either full screen or it just minimizes to an icon on the
bottom toolbar thingy. Am curious as I need that middle-type ...

[REQ] [k] XTorrent08 Apr 2007 13:12 GMT-
After 60 mins, your downloads are capped at 10kb/s
What I do is give my brother a stopwatch and tell him to quit the
programme after 59 mins and then relaunch.
In exchange for doing this for me, I don't beat him up.
