What a race! That's what we've been missing for years now. Three races,
and three different winners, and three equal firsts for the
championship. I for one wouldn't put any money on which for winning it
right now.

I see there was some discussion about this last year. Has anyone got
their Motorola RAZR to send or receive an SMS message from Address
Book?
It seems to pair OK in System Preferences, and works for iSync, but

*       iMovie 5.0.2
*       knows a camera (Panasonic 300D) is connected
*       doesn't list it in the Cameras pop-up menu
*       doesn't display video or audio from the camera

Is there some way to prevent iTunes from starting up when an iPod is
attached?

Anyone using .Mac for backup? Is it any good?
I notice from the .Mac page on the Mac web site that you can set more than one backup destination for backups, is it able to backup the critical stuff (keychain, address book, etc.) to places other than iDisk?

I was just browsing through the cocoa-dev mailing list, and came across
a post from one Chuck Toporek, who says " I was the editor in charge of
building up a list of Mac developer titles at O'Reilly until the company
withdrew its support for Mac books."

I'm writing an AppleScript to run on login for the Mac Mini. Its aims:
1. To wait until an external drive has mounted
2. To run up iPhoto, dismiss any resolution warnings dialog and then hide it
3. To run up iTunes and hide it

I am in the market for a Firewire external drive.  Any recommendations?  Is
there a size limit to what I can use on my G4 Quicksilver?  It has been
upgraded to 2Ghz with 1.5 Gig of Ram.

Apart from the sheer insanity of needing to*, can anyone see anything
wrong with putting an Airport Extreme onto a gigabit switch? That way I
can get the HFS+ NAS features but keep the gigabit transfer rate.
