Yikes. With the ebay time fast approaching for the resale of my Power

Intel iMac - Something Strange19 Apr 2007 23:53 GMT2
I've got one of the early Intel iMacs.  The 20" model.  Latest version
of OS installed, all the updates, etc.
This week, while switching the machine on, something strange has
happened.  Immediately before the Apple symbol pops onto my screen I
A ten min film that should be shown to ALL SCHOOLCHILDREN19 Apr 2007 22:45 GMT-
This film was made in the 1950s and it is an outstanding piece of film-

It is a balanced and unbias view of the homosexual agenda.

URGENT - Need advice on professional voice recording19 Apr 2007 20:59 GMT9
I've been asked to make a lengthy audio recording (spoken word, similar
to an audio book).
I'll be doing it with an intel iMac, in a quiet, non-echoy room.
Any advice for microphone setup, software etc?
PC Advisor: PC, Mac, or Linux19 Apr 2007 20:29 GMT-
I noticed PC Advisor magazine has an article entitled 'PC, Mac, Linux:
How to choose your next PC'.  Unfortunately, it's sellophane wrapped so

Open a new iDVD project and choose 6.0 Themes. Choose "Pass Through >

Networking question19 Apr 2007 14:40 GMT1
I have a wifi network in my house, all computers have an IP assigned by the
router 192.168.1.x etc etc.
I would like to connect 2 of the computers together via ethernet so they can
transfer files faster. So I've connected Computer A(PC) to computer B(Mac)

Anyone ever experience problems with this printer refusing to send

correct. We are running Mac OSX. Printing from a Pc to this network
printer works fine.

QTSS - audio in?19 Apr 2007 11:24 GMT1
Tell me to bugger off and RTFM by all means, but how does one get live
audio into Quicktime Streaming Server for broadcast?
Does the server have to be directly connected to the audio input device?
Rough plans at the moment comprise microphones in the Chapel connected

Anyone out there know anything about the Sharp machine - did it write

Handbrake and queues18 Apr 2007 23:46 GMT3
I've just used the queuing feature of Handbrake for the first time -
ripping episodes of the Goodies from the DVDs. It's spent 40 minutes or
