Late night rescue21 Apr 2007 02:40 GMT1
Bloody hell, why do these things always crop up at midnight, so yes, I
am posting this at 1:45am :-(
I tried to install those latest updates, but for some reason I couldn't
- the password dialogue would pop up, and then disappear again. WTF?
WWDC schedule21 Apr 2007 01:39 GMT-

Shall we play a game?21 Apr 2007 01:01 GMT5

Looks quite shiny. Downloaded the locked version this morning, and it seems to
play ok on G4 1.33 PowerBook, although it starts to get a wee bit sluggish if
there's a major war going on.
Merge Keychains21 Apr 2007 00:04 GMT3
A question that periodically gets asked, and I don't think anyone has
for a month or two: is there a way yet to merge the items in a bunch of
keychains into one?

Decent pinball games20 Apr 2007 22:42 GMT1
Are there any decent pinball games on OSX (Intel) other than the stuff
from Little Wing? They're close, but I'd rather have something like
Empire's Pro Pinball.
Alternatively, how would I go about getting Pro Pinball games
Replacement HD for iBook?20 Apr 2007 21:04 GMT13
Looking at either of these for a G4 iBook (from PC World) - any
recommendations?
Oh - & can I *use* PATA (whatever it is!) in an iBook?

Result on the projector20 Apr 2007 19:47 GMT12
I did some more research on this for my sister, but they really are
stuck for budget at the moment, so I knew my options were limited. My
advice was to get something good enough for the job, or stick to hymn
books.
BBC iPlayer latest20 Apr 2007 19:47 GMT18
<http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/6568163.stm>
The paragraph of greatest interest:
"The BBC's proposed iPlayer service, offering catch-up TV via the web
and cable TV, would be re-engineered to work with Apple Macs and would
Adventures in Video Capture20 Apr 2007 18:52 GMT3
I've managed to get a video from my Humax PVR onto the Mac in TS format,
which plays fine in VLC.  Currently I am using VLC to convert it to
MPEG-2, although I gather that this doesn't work too well.  (It slows
the machine down a lot, I'll telll you that!)
.Mac - any cheap way of adding a second account?20 Apr 2007 18:09 GMT5
I'm currently a .Mac member, though I endlessly debate with myself
whether it's worth it to me. If it wasn't for iSync I'd be out, but
iSync has saved my skin on a number of occasions.
Following Caz's drive disaster, I've been looking at possibly upgrading
iTunes playlist to exclude purchased items?20 Apr 2007 18:00 GMT6
I'm trying to set up a smart playlist that would show all by 128kbps
AAC fles, so that I have a list of what I need to rerip. That's fine,
but it's showing up all my purchased fracks of course.
Is there any way to exclude purchased tracks from a playlist?
Froogle -> Google products20 Apr 2007 16:34 GMT1

A friend can get an IP (DHCP) address from his wireless router, but his
Mac is unable to ping either the router or its own IP address.
