All,
Does anyone have a suggestion for replacing a dying MX500 mouse?
At my time of life, I hate making changes.  I've grown accustomed to
having two assignable buttons above the thumb and another two either
Migration to MacBook Pro - advice please22 Apr 2007 08:16 GMT2
I'm about to upgrade my G4 Powerbook to a MacBook Pro. Because I'm
experiencing miscellaneous problems with the PB, (e.g. Mail crashes
every other time I print something) I want to do a completely clean
install of all apps on the new machine.
Wanted: PowerBook Pismo parts.22 Apr 2007 07:17 GMT26
I've currently got a rather nice G3 PowerBook - a Pismo. It belongs to
my auntie, and she asked me if I could get it working.
Well, I got it working (I think it had been a bit dropped) and thought I
might be really nice, and give it back a little upgraded.
If you love your children (and aren't affected by the 'PC brigade') you will show them this video. IT COULD SAVE THEIR LIFE22 Apr 2007 05:58 GMT3
ALL PARENTS SHOULD SHOW THIS TO THEIR KIDS:

I can't believe that video would be considered 'offensive' these days.
Apple remote22 Apr 2007 00:23 GMT2
I've just had a quick look for software to make use of the Apple Remote.
There's about half a dozen - can anyone recommend one in particular?
I've not got any specific needs (though Applescript support would be
nice), I'm just kind of dicking about. Has anyone found the remote

I cannot say that I agree with everything he says, but it is interesting.

.Mac alternatives21 Apr 2007 17:50 GMT15
I haven't properly kept up with the world's obsessive quest to find
alternatives to the services .Mac offers (in particular, synchronising
stuff via server-based solutions to the problem more than the hosting
part of the deal).

iPhoto and RAW21 Apr 2007 09:09 GMT12
Finally had some time to myself for furtling this weekend.  Bliss!
I just wondered about how iPhoto deals with converting RAW .CR2 images
to jpegs, because I cannot see how to do it.  I actually had to export
one, convert it in another app, and import it back!  The Help is silent
Installing OS 9 from an iMac restore disk21 Apr 2007 08:18 GMT-
I'm trying to put OS 9 onto SheepShaver, however it turns out that the
only OS 9 disk I have is an iMac restore disk which is refusing to
install onto SheepShaver.
Is there any way of convincing it to install? I've tried copying the
Folder with question mark shows momentarily on startup?21 Apr 2007 07:32 GMT6
Hi.  I recently had an iBook G3 returned by the police that was stolen
in a burglary in January 2006.  Everything seems in working order.
However now every time I startup, a grey screen shows initially with an
icon of a folder with a question mark.  The question mark disappears

Microsoft  Software Prices21 Apr 2007 02:40 GMT5
Microsoft are planning to sell software for the equivalent of £1.50 in
some parts of the world, in an attempt to double the PC user base by
2015. A bit overpriced it seem's to me.
