Presuming that this isn't just my magical powers at work, how do I sort this out? I cloned my MBP to a USB disk. Booted off it this morning to check it was all okay (chose the USB disk from the Startup Disk control panel) then

The former is £294 ex VAT; the latter £391 (both at Crucial). A clear price advantage but what about performance? Is there any advantage (apart from more free slots for future use) to going with the 4GB kit?

Anyone else get this? every so often safari stops working, no linking etc work as if my internet connection is down. Yet whilst this is happening I can get email and browse fine in other browsers. If I wait a minute or two Safari comes back to life.

The "Subject" line outlines it. A friend who uses Claris Works (version unknown; "old" is her guess) under OS9 needs to output PDFs but is getting obstructive static from the software, about not having selected a PostScript printer yet.

I have just discovered a neat feature of mail I clicked on a mailto: line on a website that read mailto:name[at]domain[dot]org and mail was able to process the [at] to @ and [dot] to . - totally

After an hour or so of normal use (mostly email & browser) my computer running 10.3.9 suddenly started behaving oddly - ie clicking on an application in the dock didn't open the application but instead opened a finder window (Applications) in column mode with the application icon

I lent my iBook running OS X to a friend who was doing a project. The sun-of-a-gun thought he was being clever and tried to the /Library folder into the /System folder which also contained a Library folder claiming he thought it was in the wrong place. Now my iBook won't boot
