I know this has been discussed on here before, but not sure if the

Airport Extreme disk problems03 Mar 2007 11:32 GMT-
Is anyone else having reliability problems using the Airport Extreme
to share disks on the LAN? Mine works for a while after a reboot then
within a day or two the disks unmount on the clients and attempts to
remount them fail claiming that the password is invalid.
iBooks and magic pins03 Mar 2007 10:55 GMT1
I've just spent a rather fun couple of days (and about ?100) fixing my
iBook. Turns out all I really needed was a hat pin.
I'd just been testing a RAM stick. The test was fine, so I put my
original stick back in and reassembled everything and... nothing. No
The Now Show...03 Mar 2007 09:40 GMT-

Repeated at 12:25 p.m. today, or listen again here...

VMWare Beta 203 Mar 2007 08:27 GMT-
Includes 3D acceleration - I'm  just downloading now to give it a try.

Can't seem to find a way of downloading without re-registering though,
which seems a bit odd.

Tangible difference between MacBook and MacBook Pro03 Mar 2007 07:23 GMT54
Now my "I'm gonna but a MacBook Pro!" idea has turned from idle threat to
actually doing the shopping and working out specs, I'm wondering whether
the Pro is actually worth the extra money for me. I'm trying to get an
idea of the real-world differences between the machines and how ...
Dedicated Music Players vs Integrated03 Mar 2007 06:23 GMT1
Having a HD audio file downloading at 2Mbs over 3G, WIFI or even
synchronising over a cable sounds ridiculous considering how fast the
markets and technologies are maturing, as does having 5000 Mp3s of
poor sourced quality in a device. An equilibrium will need to be found

OS 9 Compatible Printer?03 Mar 2007 00:09 GMT12
My trusty seven+ year old Epson Scan 2000 is reaching the end of
the line (when starting up, the print head sets off like like a
greyhound track hare on speed, then comes to a grinding halt halfway
along the rail).

XML Viewer02 Mar 2007 21:54 GMT3
I have to work with XML files at work under Windows XP. I use
Microsoft XML Notepad 2007 to view the files run through a .xslt
stylesheet in order to see the styled output.
Is there anything similar I could use on OS X to view the files in a

Until now I have always maintained that two hot chicks making out is
the most beautiful thing in the world (truly breathtaking)
..however I have a problem with the kiss in Cruel Intentions 2.
In the 2000 film Cruel Intentions 2, identical twins Alicia and Annie
The latest Firefox... hmmmm!02 Mar 2007 18:13 GMT83
I decided to have a go at using the latest Firefox. I found that I could
easily use my Google accounts to keep my bookmarks in sync, which I've
been doing with Safari and .Mac up to now.
It didn't start too well. The first thing FF did was to wipe my
new mail opens address book?02 Mar 2007 16:42 GMT5
Anyone seen this before?  I'd noticed the address book being open when
I didn't remember starting it up, and have noticed that if I open
mail, then do a send/receive - on receipt of new email, it opens the
address book app.
