| Airport Extreme disk problems | 03 Mar 2007 11:32 GMT | - |
Is anyone else having reliability problems using the Airport Extreme to share disks on the LAN? Mine works for a while after a reboot then within a day or two the disks unmount on the clients and attempts to remount them fail claiming that the password is invalid.

| iBooks and magic pins | 03 Mar 2007 10:55 GMT | 1 |
I've just spent a rather fun couple of days (and about ?100) fixing my iBook. Turns out all I really needed was a hat pin. I'd just been testing a RAM stick. The test was fine, so I put my original stick back in and reassembled everything and... nothing. No

| VMWare Beta 2 | 03 Mar 2007 08:27 GMT | - |
Includes 3D acceleration - I'm just downloading now to give it a try. <http://www.vmware.com/products/beta/fusion/> Can't seem to find a way of downloading without re-registering though, which seems a bit odd.

Now my "I'm gonna but a MacBook Pro!" idea has turned from idle threat to actually doing the shopping and working out specs, I'm wondering whether the Pro is actually worth the extra money for me. I'm trying to get an idea of the real-world differences between the machines and how ...

| Dedicated Music Players vs Integrated | 03 Mar 2007 06:23 GMT | 1 |
Having a HD audio file downloading at 2Mbs over 3G, WIFI or even synchronising over a cable sounds ridiculous considering how fast the markets and technologies are maturing, as does having 5000 Mp3s of poor sourced quality in a device. An equilibrium will need to be found

| OS 9 Compatible Printer? | 03 Mar 2007 00:09 GMT | 12 |
My trusty seven+ year old Epson Scan 2000 is reaching the end of the line (when starting up, the print head sets off like like a greyhound track hare on speed, then comes to a grinding halt halfway along the rail).

| The latest Firefox... hmmmm! | 02 Mar 2007 18:13 GMT | 83 |
I decided to have a go at using the latest Firefox. I found that I could easily use my Google accounts to keep my bookmarks in sync, which I've been doing with Safari and .Mac up to now. It didn't start too well. The first thing FF did was to wipe my

| new mail opens address book? | 02 Mar 2007 16:42 GMT | 5 |
Anyone seen this before? I'd noticed the address book being open when I didn't remember starting it up, and have noticed that if I open mail, then do a send/receive - on receipt of new email, it opens the address book app.
