I think I'm joining Zoara, but on the PC. Damned thing!
I've spent weeks trying to get Live Messenger working on it, and finally
did. There was an update to fix it, allegedly.
Tonight, it buggered up again, and no amount of fettling would get it

Just a quick headsup. Dell 17" TFT monitors at eBuyer, £95 all in.

I'm trying to read a burnt DVD+RW drive but when I insert the disk
finder recognises it as blank media. Have you guys ever seen this
before. Trying it on my ThinkPad now......and that works.
Have any of you guys seen this before? The CD was burnt on Vista

Dear All ­
Used www.copilot.com yesterday (5 USD for the day) with three remote clients.
Slow, but very handy and setup is easy-peasy at our end, fairly OK for users
at their end..

I'm still running a Windows PC, :-( , but I _will_ be upgrading to an
iMac as soon as I know how much I have left after a load of home
improvements. :-)
In preparation for the big event, today I purchased my very first piece

...and I must say, not a bad way to turn 40. Ok, yes, as per PeterD's
predictions I am indeed fatter, but I blame the food and beer at the

Just back from a month abroad, so apologies if this has already been
asked....
Since upgrading the software on my g5, i cannot use the
shutdown/sleep/restart shortcut : 'control + eject'.

This has happened several times. On syncing my iPod I get error messages
from iTunes saying the iPod cannot be synced, together with some arcane
error number. I can click ok to clear the error messages and one of two
things will happen. Either the iPod appears to update ok, or as ...

My mate's laptop connects to my network and can access my broadband
using the ethernet cable.
But when he connects to my network using airport he can't access my
broadband.

As resident Mac-person at work, I've been asked to investigate reports
that our client is complaining that a website doesn't work in Safari
(yay clients for using Macs).
