iDVD Transitions09 Mar 2007 08:58 GMT-
I've created a slideshow in iDVD 6.0.3. I've set 'Slide Duration' to
Manual and I've tried various transitions between slides e.g. Droplet.
In iDVD Preview, transitions play OK forwards but not backwards - it
simply goes back to the previous slide without playing the transition.

I have to send my G4 iBook 10.4.8(ppc )off for a hardware repair, and
I've just bought an ebayed iMac G5 10.4 (ppc). Is there any reason why I
can't just clone the drive of the ibook , system et al, to the iMac?
Using  Firewire, and , if so should I clear the iMac drive first? Or

MBP keyboard backlight has significantly dimmed08 Mar 2007 22:36 GMT5
I'd not used my Mac in the dark for a while, but I took it upstairs
last night and was using it in bed - I could barely see the keys -
when this thing was new, it was easy - it's like the bulb's dying (if
it uses a bulb) - it doesn't matter whether it's on A/C or battery (I
Application to distort text along a path08 Mar 2007 21:39 GMT3
I need something that will distort text along a path, and not only
distort the text, but each individual character too.
Freehand can do the former, but not the latter; that is, in Freehand, a
character's horizontal strokes remain straight instead of being curved

The 55.8(!)GB HD in my 12" G4 Powerbook is filling up - only about 10GB
left.
Is there a good app/utility out there that will scan the drive and
identify and provide a list of stuff that is heavy on disk space and not
iPhone clone08 Mar 2007 19:13 GMT-
This might be a straight rip off, but judging by the photos at least you
can remove the battery easily.

Anyone using the Perian QT plugin?08 Mar 2007 16:27 GMT3
Up until now I've been using the 'official' DivX codec, but I've also heard
about something called Perian (<http://perian.org/>) and wondered if anyone has
tried it.

Pre-N Wifi router recommendations?08 Mar 2007 15:12 GMT18
Our Netgear b&g wifi router ("broadband", ie *no* ADSL modem) has gone phut.
It probably makes sense to go for one of the pre-n standard boxes, but
does anyone have any recommendations? How compatible are the pre-n
devices from different manufacturers?
