I've just nearly panicked myself - typing commands into a terminal window was giving me some very odd results, essentially nothing but the word 'Mistake'. None of the usual commands were woking at all - top, ps, ls, cd...all just saying 'Mistake'.

I bought a student copy of Maple 11 for Intel Macintosh today (using my Open University student status). Been playing with it for a while whilst listening to the cricket on TMS (Go Ireland!!). Maple is a very nice application and platform indeed.

Check this one out: I had it up and running in 2 mins and it works a treat. http://www.digmo.co.uk/software/apple-streaming-to-xbox-360/ add eyetv recordings etc and it would be even better.

I'm running the latest OS X on a PowerBook. 1) Mail no longer moves all the junk mail to the specified folder. 2) Thunderbird is not responding to the keyboard shortcuts for mark threads etc. read.
