I've set up a swann IP webcam but the trouble is it needs active X to view a
picture.
And therefor seems to require IE .
I';ve emailed swann but they  don't seem to have a solution.

I have a serious question for you people.
I purchased an Intel MacBookPro.
Overall it's a nice machine, although a few flaws I can forgive. It
has overheated on me twice and froze :( (both while playing games).

I have a brand new MacBookPro and are having issue's loading certain
websites. Particularly secure ones that require a log on such as
www.hotmail.com for example.
I was initally using Safari but are experiencing the same problem on

I use iTunes to listen to an occasional podcast or an occasional bout of
radio. Are there simpler applications I can use for these?

Just tried to delete the remains of OS9, but when I tried to trash the
old 'System Folder' it told me there were things in it that are needed
by 'System'.  What can they be I wonder?

For some reason I can no longer record from TVTV to EyeTV 1.8.5, my TVTV
account is current. Manual recording in EyeTV is working OK.

Does anyone else have a file called ".rnd" in the root of their home
directory?
It's owned by root, and and only root has read privileges. It seems to
be a binary file.

This lovely 20" imac is ace but one thing is annoying me - when it wakes
from sleep it can not find any wifi connections. If i restart it works
perfectly. Anyone found this or a solution ?

Does anyone know why Safari really grinds to a halt when using websites
such as pricerunner.co.uk and dixons.co.uk? - I'm having a very
frustrating experience with trying to buy a washing machine - although
it's better now I've switched to Firefox.
