Apple Store Edinburgh?01 Apr 2007 00:41 GMT1
According to the staff in one of our two 'Authorised Apple
Resellers' (Scotsys - the other being John Lewis), sunny Embra will be
getting an Apple Store in November on Princes St (though heaven knows
what happened to the proposed Glasgow Apple Store....)
Slow ADSL supplier01 Apr 2007 00:41 GMT8
Dear All
I have a client living out in the boonies with a line tested at less than 256
kBps. I would usually recommend Nildram or Zen, but are there any usable chap
throttled services that might suit a user who will get so little speed
latest itunes and h.26431 Mar 2007 23:37 GMT-
There was a post on here a few days ago about the latest itunes not
playing certain files. I found tonight that files encoded with H.264 in
Visualhub were not synced to my ipod and I had to re-encode them. I am
thinking this is also the reason why the eyetv file didn't work ...
Bent casing31 Mar 2007 23:00 GMT-
Damn. Some pressure must have been put on my MacBook Pro, because now
the front of my casing is bent - right over the DVD slot so I can't put
any optical media in.
Aargh. AARRGH. Bah. And other such phrases.
Apple TV files on an iPod31 Mar 2007 21:13 GMT2
Has anyone managed to get a file exported to AppleTV format to play on
an ipod ? I tried today and it didn't work. Just it is a bit naff if I
am going to have to have 2 versions of the file in itunes, one for ipod
and one for appletv(if I buy one).
Avid Xpress query31 Mar 2007 19:10 GMT-
I've been dipping in to Avid Express Pro lately which has proved much
harder than I expected - mainly unlearning Final Cut ways.
Although quite a bit has gradually dawned I can't work out whether the
following is normal or I'm missing something.
A better word processor?31 Mar 2007 18:37 GMT-
Does anyone know whether there are any Mac (or other) word processors
that use (x)html as a document format, and CSS for styles?
I've been thinking about this for a while. Most word processors store
their styles internally, within the document itself - in fact with the

Pics and video of the new Apple Store Room, sorry Rome. Probably look's
like any other Apple store, just seem's more stylish as it's Italian.

Yesterday I tried to update a friend's eMac (1.25Ghz, 768mb, 40GB)
from 10.39 to Tiger. The install disc booted ok but when I pressed the
"options" button to select the sub menu that llos archive, upgrade or
clean install the isntaller seemed to crash out. A message came up

MacBook CPU throttling31 Mar 2007 12:39 GMT9
I've googled, but can't find the answer.
But is there any way to throttle the speed of the MacBook CPU, 'cos I've
been using this one all day today (been running, not sleeping at all,
since 9am) - and it's getting rather hot.
Which router then?31 Mar 2007 11:57 GMT41
Right. I'm sick of this damned awful Belkin router. It just keep losing
various bits of networking, wireless drops on some machines, it blocks
iTunes from time to time, and often just freezes altogether, so that I
have to reboot it by power down.
Missing Sync/PocketMac and HP 590031 Mar 2007 04:42 GMT1
I used to use and sync my Palm Lifedrive without any problems but due to
work I've had to port over to HP iPaq 5935, Doh! Is there anyway to sync
a HP iPaq 5935 with iCal etc? I had a look at both Missing Sync and
PocketMac but neither seem to support this. To be honest I dont ...
