According to the staff in one of our two 'Authorised Apple Resellers' (Scotsys - the other being John Lewis), sunny Embra will be getting an Apple Store in November on Princes St (though heaven knows what happened to the proposed Glasgow Apple Store....)

Dear All I have a client living out in the boonies with a line tested at less than 256 kBps. I would usually recommend Nildram or Zen, but are there any usable chap throttled services that might suit a user who will get so little speed

| latest itunes and h.264 | 31 Mar 2007 23:37 GMT | - |
There was a post on here a few days ago about the latest itunes not playing certain files. I found tonight that files encoded with H.264 in Visualhub were not synced to my ipod and I had to re-encode them. I am thinking this is also the reason why the eyetv file didn't work ...

| Bent casing | 31 Mar 2007 23:00 GMT | - |
Damn. Some pressure must have been put on my MacBook Pro, because now the front of my casing is bent - right over the DVD slot so I can't put any optical media in. Aargh. AARRGH. Bah. And other such phrases.

| Avid Xpress query | 31 Mar 2007 19:10 GMT | - |
I've been dipping in to Avid Express Pro lately which has proved much harder than I expected - mainly unlearning Final Cut ways. Although quite a bit has gradually dawned I can't work out whether the following is normal or I'm missing something.

| A better word processor? | 31 Mar 2007 18:37 GMT | - |
Does anyone know whether there are any Mac (or other) word processors that use (x)html as a document format, and CSS for styles? I've been thinking about this for a while. Most word processors store their styles internally, within the document itself - in fact with the

| Which router then? | 31 Mar 2007 11:57 GMT | 41 |
Right. I'm sick of this damned awful Belkin router. It just keep losing various bits of networking, wireless drops on some machines, it blocks iTunes from time to time, and often just freezes altogether, so that I have to reboot it by power down.
