My wife has an "original" 17in MacBook Pro (i.e. not Core2Duo) that
starts to misbehave after roughly 2 days of uptime. For the first two
days after booting it will sleep properly when the lid is closed, but
thereafter it refuses to unless commanded to do so via the Apple menu
