iWork spreadsheet and database?24 Feb 2007 00:23 GMT14
I wonder what is the likelihood of iWork being beefed up by adding a
spreadsheet application that could read Excel files and a database
application that could read Filemaker files. I'd like that.
Multiple automount of same smb share23 Feb 2007 23:49 GMT-
I have three computers on my LAN; my primary computer is my wireless
iBook. I can access the files on the other two (linux and windows) set
up as samba shares. I connect to the shares using automount. This is
more convenient as I use my ibook at different locations.

Mail why can't I drag and drop?23 Feb 2007 19:46 GMT6
Well?
In Entourage and Eudora, I can. In Mail (Version 2.1 (752/752.2), the
attempt to drag a highlighted word or phrase simply highlights the whole
paragraph or highlights whatever I drag over.

Monitor recommendation23 Feb 2007 17:57 GMT13
I know some here have been looking at monitors recently, and I've just
got my new one. I wanted a widescreen display to get a bit more space
for Aperture, amongst other things. I also didn't want to spend too much
either.

Valuation request - MacBook Pro 15"23 Feb 2007 16:15 GMT4
Dear All
A client has passed on (they do that I've noticed), and I have been asked to
put a probate value on the man's laptop.
It is an Apple Macintosh MacBook Pro, 1.83 GHz, 512 RAM, combo-drive, very
Rip-off Britain part 62923 Feb 2007 15:54 GMT57
I need an external drive enclosure for a 2.5" SATA. I need it to be USB
because it will be used on PCs, but I'd prefer Firewire for my own use.
Searching around produces Trans International's minixpress 825
enclosure. 2.5" SATA, USB 2.0, Firewire 400, Firewire 800. $99, so
Mac Webcams at Argos?23 Feb 2007 14:27 GMT6
I've just spotted in the new Argos catalogue that they are selling the
Mikomi webcams as Mac OS 8.6 and above. Currently at two for £40.
The spec looks good, 1.3MP (800x600 video it says).
Anybody tried these?

others that any of you have tried and are happy with.
Thanks in advance

Chapter Marks in Compressor23 Feb 2007 10:32 GMT13
Anyone know how to get chapter marks to show up when a file is compressed
using Compressor? They're always there in Compressor's preview, but never
there in the finished compressed file.
Is there a setting or preference I'm missing?
