I am trying to persuade my wife to switch to a Mac, but she wants to do
a part time college course on using the Microsoft office package. They
only support windows, what I was wondering was is there much difference
between the Mac and Windows user interface, if the difference is

I've been switching around a lot from my PB to my MB lately. I notice on the
PB when I download a .dmg in safari. When it's done it auto mounts, puts the
.app on my desktop and then auto un-mounts.

I just upgraded to the latest Skype and it gives me a message that I am not

Hiya,
A customer asked me to conjoin his G4 PowerBook (broken screen) with
another he'd purchased as spares (broken most other parts), and although I
don't do a lot of Mac work I agreed to take a look, as hardware is hardware :-)
