[Semi-OT] FormMail configuration29 Oct 2006 18:19 GMT4
I've been trying to use Matt whatshisname's FormMail.pl script in order to send email from my webpage
to my email address, but without it revealing to the user or their computer what the email address is.
Normally, you have to have the email address as a hidden field within the ...
TCP Reset29 Oct 2006 15:44 GMT4
Having a gander at my router's logs, I see that I am getting a lot of "TCP
Reset" messages. Taking a one-hour period, there are 34 "Peer TCP state out
of order, sent TCP RST" entries and 4 "Firewall session time out, sent TCP
RST" entries.
Mail.app previous recipients29 Oct 2006 13:23 GMT2
Getting so much spam I'm looking at using a professional spam filter [1] and
to set it up it would be nice to white-list the addresses in mail.app's
'Previous Recipients' list.
Anyone know how I can get this list in a form I can use?
Apple Software Updates on CD/DVD?29 Oct 2006 07:53 GMT3
I have a friend who has a G4 iMac running Tiger.  However, he doesn't
have internet access at the moment so he's unable to carry out the
usual software updates online.  Is there any way I download a
compilation of all the various updates, burn them onto a CD/DVD and
OK, so I'm on the third coaster.......28 Oct 2006 22:00 GMT4
I've made a small web site folder of photos for the family to view,
which I'm burning to CD. I want to put an alias to the 'index.html' on
the root level of the CD (To make it easier to navigate).
I've now tried it three ways, and it won't link to the right location on

So, I bought an eMac, upgraded it to 512M, wiped and re-installed 10.2

for the iCafe bit of his PC shop.
When I've gone to download utils / apps they often say '10.3.x or

hour late - but not all the time, sometimes it seems to sync correctly
- any idea what's wrong?
Photo Books in Aperture28 Oct 2006 12:34 GMT-
I usually make a photo book each year using the "photobook" template in
iphoto and Aperture. I just loaded the latest aperture and tried to make
a book. Have they reduced the page layout options in the std photobook -
it is only letting me have 1 pic per page yet I have the same ...

Getting a website written properly28 Oct 2006 10:47 GMT2
For my work I've been through about 3 iterations
 - get a mate to do it free
 - get another mate to do it cheap
 - get another mate to spend more time on it and pay a bit more
Slide Scanners Compatible with Intel Macs28 Oct 2006 09:40 GMT3
I'm looking around for a 35mm slide/negative scanner, nothing too
expensive and probably second-hand via eBay. Does anyone know of a model
or make that runs with an Intel Mac? I was close to getting one made by
PrimeFilm, despite being able to run under earlier versions of OS X,
Optimum mobile internet for 12 inch PB28 Oct 2006 02:20 GMT3
A few years ago I used to be Mr Latest Mobile Connectivity Gadget. Now
I find myself out of touch and out of date and I've just picked up some
work that'll need a fair bit of travel and I'll need mobile internet
access - reasonably swift surfing and sending/receiving attachments

Is anyone else seeing this?
I m logged into iTunes 7 and when I'm listening to a preview, I only get
10 secs instead of 30 secs - happens across the board and is exactly 10
secs for each song?
