dirty f.cking faggots.
(The idea is they explode when they try and stick it up their bums)
Finder modifier keys06 Oct 2006 05:08 GMT6
Using the Finder it used to be possible to move items from one directory
to another by dragging, or if the Finder wanted to copy (eg. because it
was a different disc) then you could force a move by holding down the
command key while dragging. If this involved moving stuff to a ...

Network shares - mounting etc05 Oct 2006 22:06 GMT4
I've a NAS box at home that'll work via FTP or SMB on my network.
In finder, I can connect fine to it using Go...Connect to Server and it
mounts OK.
What I'm trying to get my head around is how this mounting works.

Soup Problems05 Oct 2006 17:53 GMT5
I'd noticed a major slowdown of my G4 iBook's performance this evening,
so I did something *really* stupid and did a forced reboot, rather than
using the correct restart procedure.
Since then I've been unable to use MacSoup at all. Every time I tried to
alternative Visualizer in iTunes?05 Oct 2006 15:49 GMT5
I have just noticed an option in my iT7, about Visualizer. If you go to
the View menu, and beneath <Turn On Visualizer> there is a <Visualizer>
exppansion menu. In that there is a tick next to <iTunes Visualizer>,
and then <Options>.

Acquisition and network transfer rates05 Oct 2006 13:36 GMT12
I'm running Acquisition to download a fairly large BitTorrent file.
Acquisition is set to use no more than 20KB/s. Its transfer rates seem
to range between 6 and 15KB/s. However, Activity Monitor shows that
something is hammering the network, hovering around 10 times those

Kill file advice needed05 Oct 2006 11:18 GMT56
I see that pain in the **** Chris Holland is now faking "Daniel
Procida"'s From: address. He may be faking others, for all I know.
I am using MacSoup, which offers reasonably extensive kill-file options,
but I don't know which to use to get rid of this irritating person,
iPod Shuffle and USB105 Oct 2006 10:42 GMT1
The specifications for the new iPod Shuffle on Apple's web-site says
that it requires USB2. Is this absolutely true? I seem to remember that
the old Shuffle would work with USB1, or perhaps I'm imagining it. If
