I've got a MacOS X 10.3.9 1.25GHz 2G4 (2003 MDD).  It connects to the

Sorry for the query post. I have a 1Ghz G4 Powerbook running 10.4.7 A
week or so ago I was watching a DVD when everything locked and I got a
kernel panic display. Wondering if my machine had overheated I turned
everything off and left it for an hour or so before re-booting.

Am I pleased with my iPod's random play?

I'm trying to VNC from my work Windows box onto my home Mac over SSH.
I can SSH there using PuTTY, and I believe (but I could be wrong) that I
have forwarded port 5901 through the SSH tunnel (using the options in
PuTTY).

With a RAID array of (say) 4 HDDs, does the computer see just one
drive?  And if so, can it boot from it/them?

I guess the title says it all really... I recorded a load of voice notes on
my Nokia 6230 this week only to find that they're stored in a (presumably)
proprietary .amr format.
Can anyone recommend a reliable utility to convert these ,amr files to AIFF,

iTunes is a great piece of software, but I do fear that Apple is just
setting up a giant shop.
